My Specs:
CPU - i5 3470
GPU - ASUS HD7850 2GB v2
Motherboard - ASRock H77M
RAM - V-GEN 8GB Ram
Case - Coolermaster N200(paired with Corsair AF120 x2)
CPU Cooler - Coolermaster Hyper 212x
A 1080p monitor

Seeing those specs, what do you guys think I need to upgrade the most? I've wanted to upgrade to the 4th generation for a long time, but seeing as I have to change my CPU and Motherboard it doesn't seem like I'll be able to do that with my paycheck. I just want to know, how much of a speed boost will I get if I do? Does the 4th generation BYFAR outclass the 3rd?

Since it would take me quite a while to even get 100$, mind you, I'm thinking of selling my
H77M and get myself a brand new ASRock Z77 extreme4-6 and have my CPU OC even if just a little. Any opinions about this? Will I feel any noticeable speedups doing this, or if it's just useless?
Just a note guys, anything that I need to replace I'll have to be able to sell my current hardware and get atleast 50% of the money for the new part.

I think that's the cheapest speedup/upgrade I will be able to afford in the short term, unless I'm wrong. I someone out there will be willing enough to help out, huge thanks to those that read the thread. Thanks again!

Regards

Solution
Your CPU does not need a upgrade. It is not worth it by any means. I would possibly get a SSD. Look at a 850 EVO from Samsung. :)

A GTX970 would be a upgrade but it is out of budget.

What about the motherboard? Is it worth the upgrade for Z77? I'm looking at the next 2-4 years.

GPU is out of the question at the moment. :( Selling it gets me around 100$-150$ and I have to earn around 150$ to get atleast enough budget to start reviewing potential ones.
http://www.powercolor.com/us/products_features.asp?id=483 - This costs 200$, what do you think? Is it an upgrade or a downgrade? It costs less than when I bought my HD7850, but it's ASUS against Powercolor, what do you think?
(Note: GTX 970 costs 500$ at minimum here.)

Looks like I'm going with the SSD route, though 850 EVO is out of the question, I'm looking at either:
1. http://www.amazon.com/Kingfast-Sata3-Height-Desktop-Laptop/dp/B00MSSESIW
2. http://www.amazon.com/Kingfast-128gb-Solid-Desktop-Laptop/dp/B00MSSF0FM (If I get some luck at my side, hopefully)
What do you think?

Thanks a ton for your replies guys!

I live in Indonesia where the tax are pretty high. I was looking to speed up my general experience using my PC, hence looking to upgrade my motherboard so I can OC my CPU(less bottleneck, faster loading windows etc). But I completely forgot about the SSD. It's been some time now since I've browsed for them because I thought they were darn expensive, but looking at it now, it might actually be something that I've been looking for that is affordable and most worthwhile.

Thanks again guys!
