Disabling cpu core parking make a difference?

I see a lot of threads and on other forums claiming that doing this gives better stability or fps in all types of games, but I never see much proof showing if it does or not.

First thing I want to know is if it is safe or not (or cause a significant heat rise), second would be does it do anything at all for gaming performance? (no matter how minuscule the change).

I have a Intel Core i7 4790K @ 4.00GHz, if I were to do this what effect if any would I see?

I have an i5 in my pc, and disabling core parking has no risk. You can unpark cores without worry. It didn't really give me a massive boost, but you have nothing to lose by trying it. My temps didn't go up when I unparked.
