gtx 670 vs r9 270 .. also 670 being old card, are its chances of becoming faulty, burnout high if I don't OC?

The 670 is a better card. Does it have warranty? Also just because the card is two yrs old there's no guarantee that it will burn out. Some of my friends are still using a 8800gts and some are using a 580 (temps always in the 90s). The 270 is a nice card but a bit slower than the 670. The 279 however is a newer card and is still getting new drivers. Nvidia has begun phasing out Kepler based cards and the newer drivers do not fully support the gpus
