Some motherboards set to default will put the voltage higher. They have an auto setting that regulates it based on what it thinks it needs. You can check what your voltage is at and what it would need using CPUz. There are two parts in it. The voltage that it is running at and the VID. The VID is what the stock voltage that was tested by Intel required to be set at stock to be stable.
Run it under load again then take a snapshot. Also, to get the VID download and run Coretemp. Once we know your VID and we know what your CPU is pulling voltage wise under load we can try to determine if the board is pushing too much voltage.
