New build with ASRock z97 Pro 3 and 4690K - Newbie compatibility question

Hi guys, I'm in the process of buying parts for a new gaming pc and just bought the Z97 pro 3 mobo from ASRock. I wanted to ask if 4690K will be compatible. The processor is listed as compatible since bios 1.3 . I think mobos come with the latest BIOS, is that correct?

No, most motherboards don't come with lastest bios. With that being said, updating bios is fairly easy just find the necessary files and update it using a flash drive in the bios utility.

Ok but still , will it be able to boot with that cpu in order to update the bios? Sorry but I don't know if it's possible and I don't have any other cpu to do this

You will have to update bios before running Os install. Its not a big deal I have done it many times.
