Hi, so I am running a i7 3930k that idles around 35-40c and a gtx 690 that idles around 32c. I noticed lately that whenever I would play some games, graphic intensive games especially like gta v, after a while of play I would notice that I was dropping frames. After I closed the games I let my computer sit at idle with nothing running for about 30 mins and my tempratures never dropped below what they were at when the system was under load, which was about 55-60c for the processor and 80+ celcius for the graphics card. I am not sure what could be the problem for the heat staying around. if there is any other info that would help just let me know and thanks for looking.
