I currently have 2 EVGA gtx 650 ti boost superclocked in my rig. I am upgrading to a EVGA gtx 970 4gb, they are both nvidia cards...do i really need to uninstall my drivers?
Yes you MUST uninstall the old drivers, swap out the cards then install the driver again. If you do not you will end up with major issues like crashing and no OS boot issues.
It is always recommended that you install drivers when changing cards .... sometimes ya get away with it but why take the chance....expect about a 33% performance improvement
