Micron Technology chips on Transcend ram ?
Ive been using Transcend ram for 2-3 years, when i checked the info in CPU-Z it shows the manufacturer is Transcend Info, but when i bought the same version of it from flipkart, it shows that the memory is being made by Micron Technology ? is it legit ?

Well, a few years ago, Micron bought SK Hynix from a Japanese bankruptcy. Its very possible that Transcend, who has never had their own fabs, was getting chips from either SK Hynix or Micron, and Crucial is the public facing business of Micron.

Micron is also the last remaining company with american fabs that produce memory. You might remember the Intel/Micron partnership (IM Flash Technologies or IMFT) in producing NAND flash memory for SSD's and other products.

I wouldn't worry. Tech companies do it all the time, taking another mfg.'s chips and using them on their PCB's. Companies like Crucial, Kingston and Corsair don't always (or don't at all) use their own chips- they get them from companies like Samsung (Hynix) and Micron. HP and Dell RAM for their servers uses Hynix IC's. Crucial uses a lot of their own chips, but it's not unusual to see different manufacturers represented on a branded module.
