GTX 960 palit super jetstream low fps dota 2

so i bought this card today and i know that GTX960's can max out dota in settings
cos i see others on youtube with 120fps but after i install my drivers i just got 70-90 it drops down to 40 sometimes i dont know why anyone know my drivers are updated i just dont know
my cpu is amd a10-6800k and a guy on youtube has gtx960 and same cpu but his fps is stable at 120 compared to mine

btw my screen resolution is 1600x900 and i disabled nvidia control panel from startup do i need to run it to get better fps?

40 FPS is already smooth, your eyes won't even notice the difference if you are playing on games, especially on a hardcore game like Dota 2. If you really want the 120 FPS that bad, try to re-install the GPU from the PCI-e slot, then download and install the latest drivers from the manufacturer's website. Anyway, can we have a list of your computer's specs? The motherboard and the present PCI slot could be the problem.

yea iam thinking of the samething too my mobo is outdated gen 2.0 pcie now ive been thinking of replacing my proc and mobo cos i just upgraded my gpu i dont need apu anymore

If you have the budget, you know exactly what to do. A sweetly priced H97 or Z97 mobo paired with an i3/i5 will do the work. There are even cheaper AMD mobos and CPUs out there. Just make sure that the mobo you want supports PCIe 3 and you're good to go.

are you from ph ? im new to intel motherboards can you tell me what is H97 and Z97 means i know its mobos but whats with the Letter and 97. iam going on an i5 - 4590 haswell which is about 200$= 9000php. can u suggest me a good board which cos around 70$ or less

Yes, I'm from the Philippines (Bulacan).

I also have little knowledge about these things. They are chipsets from Intel. You can easily point out some differences.

The letter corresponds to the user it was intended for. For example, if you plan on overclocking a CPU (which requires a K or X suffix), you might want to use motherboards with the Z or X prefix (Z87, Z97, X99) as they have features designed for overclocking enthusiasts. They tend to support RAMs with higher speeds than 1600MHz.

If you want a normal life with your computer with no intentions of tweaking and overclocking your computer components, you'd want an H motherboard. H motherboards are a safe choice but can only support RAM speeds of 1333MHz - 1600MHz (which is not really that bad).

Basically, in the best configuration, you should pair up a non-K Intel CPU with an H97 mobo and an unlocked Intel CPU (K) with a Z97 board. If you want to use the advantage of having a faster RAM, go with a Z motherboard. But the difference between a 1866 MHz RAM and a 1600 MHz one is too small to be worth the cash here in the Philippines.

Going with an H-motherboard is good enough to play any game your GPU can handle.

So I'd recommend an H97 board for you because you want the i5-4590.

Unfortunately, we'll have trouble finding an H97 board below 70 USD.

By the way, did you checked if you have connected the monitor cable to the GPU itself?

yes its connected iam using DVI to VGA adaptor. so the choice for me then is to go H97 Board + i5-4590.
might save a little more because i saw ASUS H97M-E MOTHERBOARD or MSI B85M GAMING MOTHERBOARD they are both 4500php can you suggest which one to buy i need a pcie 3.0 slot. i think i cant go z 97 it cost about 7000php + its too much for me. haha

You really don't need a Z97 board, you will give in more money just to be frustrated later by overheating and instability issues.

it says pcie 3.0 2.0 does this mean it supports both 2 and 3 ? and if gtx 960 it will use 3 right?
