Hi Tomshardware, I've been having a problem with my R9 290 Tri-X today where it isn't displaying anything on my monitor, I've tried plugging in a HDMI/Displayport and a DVI Port but none of them works. The fans on the Graphic card are spinning and the on board graphics works. Please help me solve this problem.

Thanks so much George.

http://www.sapphiretech.com/presentation/product/product_index.aspx?pid=2090&lid=1# check your PSU 750watt is required. 1X150 Watt 8-pin PCI Express power connector is required. and 1X75 Watt 6-pin PCI Express power connector is required.

If not enough power, fans will spin but not enough power to produce an image.
Consider upgrading PSU and make sure u got a 8pin and 6pin power connector both plugged in.

I've gotten a XFX Pro Black Edition 850W 80PLUS PSU, I've connected an 8PIN and 6PIN into my GPU and PSU. Still not image.

I sadly don't have another machine. I've tried too take this card out and put it back into the second slot. Same happened no display but fans move. I'm really not sure why my PC isn't detecting this card.

so it has randomly just started doign this? where you buy it from? most graphics cards come with 1-2year warranty aslong as you havn't voided warranty via reapplying thermal paste or changing the cooling on it with a new heatsink or watercooling

Yes, It just randomly started doing this. I've been looking around for a solution but I can't manage to fix this. I haven't voided the warranty.

you got intel cpu try using your onboard graphics to see if everything else boots up as ususal or if you got an APU do that aswell. Eliminate your problems! Otherwise send it back man it is the only possible reason to be honest.

Like I've said before, I've gotten onboard graphics I can boot everything perfectly fine in onboard graphics but I don't get a display from my Graphics card and my PC doesn't detect it.
