I accidentally deactivated windows 8.1

Solution
if u bought the computer with windows 8 it could possibly be on the bios chip, even mroe likely if its a laptop, if u download a software called produkey and run it, it shall tell you ur windows 8 key if its on the bios, it should say "bios key" on it.

let me know how it goes
good luck :)

If the HP shipped with Win 8.x, then the product key should be stored in the BIOS/UEFI and it will reload itself when Win 8.x is setup. Have you tried simply re-activating the system?

So why did you run the command (slmgr /upk) anyway?
