I have a evga 960 GPU with a 8 pin power connection, but my existing power supply does not have the required connection to power it. Could anyone please suggest a power supply (at least 750W) that would have the rquired connections. It would also need to have at leat 4 fan connections as well as the usual connections for the motherboard, cpu fan, disk dives etc.

Solution
Usually your videocard will ship with a power connection adapter, for instance a molex to 8 pin adapter. If you actually need a another PSU it would be better to post your computer components, because 750 watts would usually be overkill for a pc with only a GTX 960.

Don't use adapters like suggested above.

If the psu does not have the proper connections for the card then it is highly unlikely it can actually power it.
Just because the sticker on the box says "700w" in no way means that it is certified to output 700w, might not even be able to do 400. If it is 80 plus certified then it is at least certified it can output the stated load; but that in itself is no mark of quality, Raidmax for example makes their psu's to get an 80 plus rating but with such low quality they have the unofficial name "motherboard killer"

Now why do you want 750w psu for, you would need two 970 cards to need 750w power.
For a single 960 a 500w would be fine, 600-650 for SLI.

Sure there are some that can but those are the exceptions and not the rule, hence "highly unlikely", so unless the OP has done the research on the true output of the psu and amps on the 12v then I would not just assume it was capable.

The reason I would want that much power is so that at a later date I might want to add another GPU in SLI mode or change other things in my rig and not have to worry about purchasing yet another PSU.
