Here is my system config:

CPU: AMD Phenom II X4 955 Black Edition
RAM: 2 x ADATA 4GB PC3-10600 ADU3U133C4G9-S
MOBO: Gigabyte 880GM-D2H socket AMD AM3
OS: Windows 7 64 bit

I used to run 8GB of RAM with no problems. Then about a year ago I started getting random BSOD. The problem seemed to get progressively worse over time until the PC won't run more than 15 minutes after booting up.

Isolating one slot at a time, I removed one 4GB stick of RAM and the PC ran fine. I swapped out one RAM stick and put in the other stick. The PC ran fine once again. I did the same thing with the other RAM slot. Turns out the PC will run fine with either 4GB stick placed in either RAM slot; but 8GB won't run. The RAM passes all RAM tests using MemTest86 and Windows Memory Diagnostic tool.

Suspecting possibly a driver problem, I had the opportunity to try out Windows 10 using a clean install on another hard drive. Same problem occurs with 8GB RAM.

I'm wondering if this is a failure in the CPU or the motherboard? I would like to run the 8GB of RAM again and would appreciate any suggestions.
