I have just installed my new Gigabyte GTX 970 and New EVGA 600W 80 PLUS PSU, and when I boot my PC no logos appear and it just says no signal.

I have removed the GPU and launched my PC fine without it, with the new PSU. All fans start spinning and lights light up, however when I plug in my HDMI and turn on my PC there's no signal. I just got my GPU and have installed it, this is the first time I have done it but I think I've done it correctly...

Any help is Appreciated!

Thanks,
~Kirmsn

The HDMI is plugged into the card, when plugged into the mobo and the card is removed it works fine. The input on the monitor is also HDMI, I dont have the correct leads/cables to use VGA or DMI

Could you link me to a replacement upgrade build on pcpartpicker or something? I'm not too good at selecting parts.. as you could have guessed..

Thanks

$300 upgrade assuming you can re-use at least 4gb of ram.

You can get a GPU upgrade later and would make that a great PC>

Thanks, but backtracking a little bit... Would I need to disable my current onboard graphics, then shutdown my PC install my new GPU then restart it?

I work during the day so that is why I stopped answering.

When you plug a new GPU in, it should automatically switch to the 970. It is compatible with your motherboard.

IT may be a broken PCIe slot or a bad card. Not much of a way to tell.

One more thing I would like you to check on though, since you got a new PSU, you has to plug everything back in. Perhaps could it be that a power cord somewhere is not plugged in all the way/ not correctly?

No matter the case, I would return it and get what I suggested above. You should be able to use all your other parts.
