I've read a lot of posts here taking about the PSU requirements for GTX 770 SLI. Looking to add a second 770 for SLI: Below are my specs

CPU: i7 4770k @ 3.5GHz
Mobo: Asus Z87-Pro
RAM: 2x4 Patriot Viper Extreme 1600MHz
HDDs: WD 1TB 7200 RPM and 250 Samsung EVO SSD
GPU: EVGA GTX 770 SC w/ACX Cooler
PSU: Thermaltake Smart m750W 80 Plus Bronze
Fans: 2x140mm, 3x120mm

As stated I want to add a second identical 770. I'm worried that my PSU isn't up to snuff. I'm debating on going with a higher quality, wattage GPU. Looking for some guidance.

Thanks.

I think you may be better off just upgrading to 900 series. But if that just isn't option, then you need something like 800-900W psu.

But you would gain overally more simply by getting GTX 970. Less power usage but more performance without need for upgrading psu. And you can later add another 970 while still using that 750W psu.

I've debated on doing that as well but I've ran across a solid deal for a second 770. This is why I'm considering it.

Seeing you have SLI 770's I'll take your word for it.

I was even debating on just going up to a 1000w PSU. Would that even be necessary?

You should be good to go with an 850 like an HXI 850.RM850 or above from corsair or any other good manufacturer As long as in the end you arnt going to find another to tri sli ;) Later on if you do update to the 900 series your all set as they use less power

My system(with a bit of oc) will use close to 700w under full load(monitoring with corsairlink). 750w would work but cuts it close which is why I reccomend 850w. 1000w is overkill. I have a 1200w because I was running 3 580s before I got the 770s.
