My computer keeps freezing please help

I'm running an AMD radeon hd 7990 with a liquid cooled FX 9590 processor and 8gb ddr3 and my board is a Gigabyte GA-990FXA-UD3
when im playing a game for example the witcher 3 or league about 20 to 40 mins the whole thing will freeze up. My temperatures the processortemp is (94C) and the video card temp is (30). please help/.

Is the pump on your liquid cooler working properly? What about the radiator fan?

You could try to take it off and re-apply the thermal compound. (Remember to rub off all the old stuff before!)

So take cooler off my processor and gently rub off all the old thermal compound and reapply some new stuff.

You could try that. First stress test your system and watch the fans attached to the radiator. Did you ensure to put it on tightly when you mounted it?

Yeah my computer is about 2 years old so I mean it might be time to do that but my radiator is fine ive never had a problem with it

How about the Fan on the radiator? It's recommended to replace the thermal compound every couple of years as it goes hard and cracks.

I have never replaced the thermal compound before so I'll try that. I didnt think my temps were that high tho either

That's not good. It could of been creeping up. Some thermal compounds actually boil away if they get too hot.

IC Diamond is well recommended. Any really will be fine. I got an Akasa one the other day and it's great.

I didnt think 94 degrees was that hot. I guess you learn something new everyday Thank you I really appreciate your help

No problem, I'm happy to help. you might be thinking of 94 degrees (f) which is only 34 degrees (C) but 94 degrees (c) is very high for a CPU.

yeah i just updated everything the other day i started from scratch and reinstalled everything. I was having a problem installing my videocard drivers because when i would try to install them it would flash and then black out when its turning on the video card

That's usually normal for it to flash. I'm not too sure what the issue is. I will google it

but what is leading me to think its my video card is that when i was installing it it kept freezing when i was installing the drivers it took me literally 10 times to get it to not freeze idk what was causing it

You could run a memory test in Windows. You could also try sfc/scannow in cmd
