Okay, so I recently bought all components and am building a PC. However, once motherboard, apu, memory, and cooler were in place and I did an external boot, nothing came up on monitor. The motherboard appears to be working (lights are on) fan is also working but nothing appears on monitor. Any help is much appreciated.

i know how you feel just last year when i built my pc but what you need to is plug that 24 pin into your motherboard as this supplies the power to the things to boot the pc look over your motherboard manual to see where it is if you cant find it just put a link to your motherboard or post the model number. hope this helped you.

when i built mine i had all my fans running but no boot up have you plugged in the 24 pin atx cable as that is the power for the motherboard even if the fans are spinning you may have missed it out also have you plugged in a 4 or 6 pin power cable for your cpu as without that your pc may not boot either. basically just check all your cables are plugged and just go over a youtube video if you need too double check because i completely forgot about my cpu power cable

Okay, I just checked all the chords. Everything was plugged in, but I noticed that on my MOBO 24 pin power that one pin wasn't in there. Is this normal and I am just being a computer noob, or is there supposed to be a pin in every one. Other than that I am clueless (this is my first build)

Okay, I just got it to boot (I am so excited). Turns out everything was connected proper except my fan. My fan was not in the CPU fan slot and my ram was not fully inserted (woops). Thanks for all the advice you have given me anyway.
