CPU temp jumps around - A LOT, during games

cpu jumps around 5 even 10 C in a second or two. Note that it seems to go down as fast as it goes up.
1) Is this "normal"?
2) Is it real?

Seems to me that cpu would be much slower going down than up in temp, but that is not the case. So I suspect noise or some problem with measurements

Using MSI Afterburner to monitor i7-4790k oc to 4.7GHz and GTX980

Solution
This is perfectly normal, especially in video games where the load on a CPU will spike up and down rapidly according to what may be happening in the game for each rendered frame.

The temperature spikes are indeed correct.

If a load is linear, such as any rendering task then the workload is linear as well, so the temperature will be steady.

that´s normal , some parts are more cpu intensive on anothers not even on same game . your cpu it´s just fine
