Hi All,

I just have this nagging feeling that the RAM I have installed is not running at its true potential.

Specs are:
AMD fx-8350
Asus M5A99FX pro R2.0
and for the RAM; G.Skill Sniper DDR3-2133 PC3-17000 cl 10-12-12-31 1.6v

CPU-Z shows the ram running at 866mhz FSB: DRAM at 1:4 and the CAS latency at 11 clocks...
I had upped the RAM speed in bios yesterday to the closest number to 2133 which i believe was 2000 in my bios and CPU-z showed my ram running at 1066mhz but i did begin to experience some crashing issues.

Please all help is much appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

I just checked my BIOS and its showing my processor speed at 4300mhz, which for a 4.0ghz CPU im guessing that means its operating at 4.3ghz? as for my DRAM voltage its set to auto, and its showing it at 1.592 volts. The model number on the back of the package reads F3-2133C10D-8GSR, DDR3-2133 PC3-17000

Thank you gskill support. so i enabled DOCP in bios and it would not run at 1866mhz, it kept dropping it down to 1600, but then i noticed an option in O.C DRAM frequency that was 2133mhz at 1.60v already pre loaded, so i decided why not and give it a shot. So far so good, RAM is running at specs as far as i can tell.

Also thought id share this, it shows its reading the max bandwidth at PC3-12800 but on the package it shows PC3-17000, so im a little curious about that too if anyone has any suggestions?
