How to get the Google Search Engine

I am using windows 8.1 and I'm trying to make Google my search engine but I'm stuck with Bing which I hate. I tried going to the Add-On's and clicked on Google Search but when I press on "Add to Internet Explorer" nothing happens. What am I doing wrong?

If you're using Internet Explorer as your browser, choose Tools from the top menu --> Internet Options ---> put the www.google.com url into the Home page box, and you should be all good to go.

Also, there's a Google Search app you can get free from the Windows app store
