I was just wondering what the difference between a mATX Mother board was compaired to a regular atx mother board. Can i still use a mATX motherboard with an ATX case?

Yes, you can use a mATX moterboard with an ATX case (as far as I know, you should probably check for your specific case). The difference is that its smaller (hence micro) and therefore has less space for RAM slots, VRMs, headers, and all the other goodies. Might even need SO-DIMM RAM (basically, just smaller RAM sticks physically, though that usually mITX boards, which are even smaller).

The differences are

1) Physical size. Yes, as long as the ATX case accept a Micro-ATX motherboard (most, if not all do), you can use a Micro-ATX motherboard in an ATX Case.
2) Number of expansion slots. The Micro-ATX motherboard generally has four expansion slots. The ATX motherboard generally has seven.
3) Some capability. Number of RAM slots, USB headers, SATA ports, etc... a Micro-ATX motherboard may not have as many of these as an ATX motherboard.
