System Info
Windows 7 SP1 64bit
Asus Z87 Plus UEFI V2103
I5 - 4670K Stock
GTX 760 Stock
8GB ADATA XPG V2 DDR3 1600Mhz RAM
This all started with a GTA V Crash. GTA V is the most memory intensive application on my system pushing me into 7200/8000MBs memory used. The game ran fine for 220 Hours. Then I got this crash...
Faulting application name: GTA5.exe, version: 1.0.350.1, time stamp: 0x5540c256
Faulting module name: nvwgf2umx.dll, version: 9.18.13.5012, time stamp: 0x55258f68
Exception code: 0xc0000005
Fault offset: 0x00000000006b517f
Faulting process id: 0x1340
Faulting application start time: 0x01d09980ff2f1186
Faulting application path: D:\Steam Games\steamapps\common\Grand Theft Auto V\GTA5.exe
Faulting module path: C:\Windows\system32\nvwgf2umx.dll
Report Id: a940744b-057a-11e5-8535-74d02b2c561c
I also received the exact same Exception Code for the Steam Client webhelper looking at a Wall of GTA Gifs the very same day....
Upon looking up Exception code 0xc0000005, I discovered that this could possibly be faulty RAM and went and created a bootable USB of Memtest86 V6.0.0 .I did think it was a Nvidia Issue until I ran Memtest.
Here are my current results..
2 Sticks @ 1333Mhz / 142 Errors on Test 13 [The Hammer Test] Pass 1
2 Sticks @ 1600Mhz (XMP) / 278 Errors on Test 13 [The Hammer Test] Pass 1
Everything I know about RAM and Memtest suggests to me that this is faulty memory and have already opened a RMA ticket with Adata. The last time I tested my ram around 6 months ago, I passed with flying colors on XMP mode...
I would still like anyone else opinions like always. Thank you
