Hi, I have worked repairing all sorts of electronics including computers for several years now and have decided to finally build a powerful, but inexpensive gaming computer. I was hoping I could get some tips as to what parts to get. I believe that in general, I know what I am doing, so do not worry about too much explanation.
I have several necessities:
1. I am an AMD fan, but I am also reasonable, a $500 processor that barely out-performs a $200 one is NOT reasonable, however.
2. SSD-I want FAST boot time, FAST server program loading times, etc.
3. Can run ANY(I understand that may be impossible for under $1000) game at 30fps MINIMUM
4. SERVER FRIENDLY?? I run servers for the games that I play, therefore the system MUST be able to play a game AND run the server simultaneously. I very well understand that playing a very resource game will not allow this happen. But I very well should be able to play minecraft with glsl shaders, 200 mods and 32 chunk render distance all while running a server with 5 people.
5. Preferably around $1000-$1200
6. ram, hard drive, disk drive not necessary
7. Ability to ,overclock CPU. Meaning a sufficient cooling.
8. That's enough, I feel rediculous
MY CURRENT "CART":
CPU:
FX-8350
MOTHERBOARD:
ASUS AM3+ SABERTOOTH
PowerSupply:
Rosewill Photon-550(needs more wattage? I like the modular.)
Storage:
SanDisk SSD 2.5" 120GB
Video Card:
GIGABYTE GTX 980 2GB($200)
or
EVGA GTX 960 2GB($200)
or
EVGA GTX 960 4GB($230)
Case:
Opinion, so it doesn't matter
CPU Cooler:
Noctua NH-D15
or
Corsair water cooler H100i
WLAN:
TP-LINK 2.5/5ghz 450Mbps 802.1a/b/g/n
