Hi guys, long time reader, first time poster, I came here because I need help with my 16gb Kingston Micro SDHC Card, I bought this card in last year's fall and around Christmas it broke.

So I used the card in my android Wiko Darkmoon, it worked fine but for some reason, while listening to music on it, the phone hanged and I rebooted it, next thing I know Android is telling me that the card is unreadable.

So I put it in my PC, it is recognized with the correct size but takes a long time to load. After loading, I was able to access my files, but every time I opened a folder, copied or deleted or even opened a file, Windows would take loads of time to load, with some hangs in the middle, but in the end I was able to take a few files from the "corrupted" card. Just so you have an idea of how long it takes, about 1gb of files took 12/14 hours to download from the card.

I've tried all the standard procedures, formating through "My PC" takes almost 10 minutes just to open the format tool, and does absolutely nothing to the card, HP USB Formatter says that the card is being used by some other application, SD Formatter hangs for a really long time and says that the card is Write Protected, gonna try diskpart now.

I don't really have anything important there anymore, so I just want to fix it and erase everything, if this was a cheap ebay nameless card I would have probably already given up, but this is a Kingston one, so I really wasn't expecting this.

So, please help, thanks in advance

Solution
I don't see the point of putting up with all the hassle with something that's easily replaced and not expensive.
Just bin it and buy a new one, and not on Ebay (that was pointless too for something costing pocket money at regular shops or even Amazon).
