Looking to upgrade my graphic to a Gigabyte GE Force 970.But I have 2 6 pin connectors. Will this work??This is actually for my Grandson.

Solution
Yes. Most GTX 970's, for example the Nvidia reference model and the EVGA FTW, only require 2x 6 pin connectors. The requirement varies between different brands of the GTX 970. (The Asus Strix version requires a single 8 pin power connecter.) What kind of GTX 970 will you buy? Your 1000w PSU is more than enough for a GTX 970.

Both the Gigabyte and MSI GTX 970's actually require 1x 8pin and 1x 6pin. However, this should not be an issue at all. The MSI GTX 970 comes with a 6pin to 8pin power adapter, and the Gigabyte GTX 970 comes with a 2x Molex to 8pin adapter and a 2x Molex to 6pin adapter. You are also able to find 6pin to 8pin adapters for sale at most computer shops, as well as on Amazon, Ebay, etcetera.
