Hi so I replaced my 990fxa ud3 mobo and fx 6100 cpu with an msi z97 mobo and Intel i5-4690k cpu. My question is, how do I boot w7 from my ssd with this new mobo? Do I need to reinstall w7 all together since its a new mobo? Or can I still boot the w7 from my ssd which holds the OS? Also I remember I had to go into my bios on my amd board and change something to allow my SSD to hold the OS, can someone help me out with what I need to do?

moving from an amd build to an intel build while still using the same OS install is a very bad idea. even changing boards with the same chipset can cause big problems.

You need to do a fresh install with the new intel build, this will also most likely force your to get a new windows key as well.

Ok so I am gonna do a clean install, but when I go to pick my driver to put the OS on (SSD) it says it cannot continue with then install on my SSD. I have the MSI Z97 gaming board and am wondering how to switch it to the right settings to allowthebinstall on the ssd. I've also unplugged my HDD.
