100% The only titles "claiming" to recommend 16GB are Dying Light + ACU. IMO, 8GB is still plenty for a gaming box. ^Totally agree with the folks above, no need to get a 4GB 960 at 1920x1080...unless you plan on going SLI in the future and jumping resolutions. Congrats on the new parts mate!

Both games do not require huge amounts of vram. Planetside 2 will run fine with 1 GB and mine craft even less. However planetside 2 will chew through all of your DDR ram if it's available. I've personally recorded 11 GB usage between Windows and PS 2 combined in heavy battles.

Ok thanks so will 8Gb of Dual Channel DDR3-1866 RAM be sufficient?

If it becomes too much i can always get another 4Gb stick of the same stuff for £20-£25 so its an easy future upgrade path

Just like it was mentioned 8 GB is plenty for gaming and very few games require more in their spec's. You have to keep in mind when they provide specs that a game requirements are 16 GB of memory the game itself doesn't need all 16 GB. Windows will natively use half of your available ram once it's fully loaded until you reach 8 GB. Once you have exceeded that it'll cap out at about 4.5 GB however the actual game you maybe playing only really needs 4 GB. Anything more than that moves to the pagefile on the hard drive.
