Hello guys and gals! I have been into computing kind of a LONG time (when i was 10 years old i started learning how to put together components). Lately i have been raising some money to build a gaming computer. The thing is,i dont know yet if my choices are perfect or descent so to say. Let me get to my point. The compartments i want to use are the following:
Case: Aerocool xpredator black edition/corsair obsidian 750D
MOBO: Asrock Z77 Extreme4
RAM: 4xG.skill ripjaws 4gigs each
GPU: Gigabyte Radeon R9 280 OC edition
CPU: intel i5 2400 sandy bridge (s1155)
PSU: (still trying to find the best to power it up,propse me some good ones!)
Cooling: (i have found some good combos of compartments, but still no idead which combo to use. Again, propose.)
Note:CPU and 2 of the RAM cards are old and i would like to keep them. Smart choice or nah?
Sorry for the poorly written thread. As i said, the build should not be over 1500 euros. Mainly i want to know about watercooling and how to assemble it good on the abovementioned builds, but nay other suggestions are gratefully acceptable!

that CPU is quite mediocre for a gaming build. Nowadays, any 4th gen i5 should be able to push any game out there to its max potential. I would recommend an i5-4690k. And there will be no need to upgrade your ram as you already have 16 gigs(great)!

I just built this one for myself 2 weeks ago,

I was never so happy with performance and cooling (My CPU don't get hotter than 42-45°C when playing games, and 69-73°C running prime95).
Can't tell much about 4K resolutions, but as i'm playing at 1080p everything is flying on ultra setiings. :)

edit: No components are overclocked right now, as i don't feel any need for it at the moment.

As for GPU, than GTX970 will beat Radeon R9 280 by mile in everything except 3DMark score. And there is very little difference between GTX980 and GTX970, so it's not worth spending extra 200EUR for additional 5-10fps in games.
