Hello,

I just installed my new pc a couple of days ago, evrything was just working fine. until I entered my ram memory into channel D 7-8. I got the error code 61 on the motherboard.(it means the motherboard won't start and keeps rebooting over and over having the same error)

I found someone on youtube having the same problem here is the example https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S1C3fd8rCVY

My specs are :
-Intel I7 5820k
-Gigabye x99 ud5 wifi
-corsair 32gig 2400mhz (CMK34GX4M4A2400C14R)
-corsair 32gig 2400mhz (CMK34GX4M4A2400C14R)
-GPU ASUS HD 6670
-PSU corsair hx1000I platinum
-samsung 1 tb ssd 850evo

I tested the pc with with upto 48gig ram this is no problem it runs stable, only when I want to put the last 16gb in channel D, I got the error code 61.

I tried:
-Reseting the cmos
-checked all the memory 1 by 1
-mixed the ram into diffrent channels 1,3,5,7 etc etc(unitll channel 7 everything works)
-tried bios settings underclock overclock the ram.
-borrowed rip jaws set of 64gig that is compatible with this motherboard getting the same error.
-took the gpu out and tried to start it, took all hard drives out and tried to start it etc etc.

And everything is working perfectly untill I am starting to use channeld d7-8 I hope some of you
guys will have another suggestion I could try running a little out of options here. Well the only option is RMA I guess.

Thanks guys

Joe

Solution
Hi, If same issue occuring when installing single RAM module in one of those slots, then it might be a CPU socket bent pins issue or an overtightened CPU cooler.
