Is an Asus M5A97 LE R2.0 Motherboard good?

I recently bought a new computer and the motherboard i had didnt work twice, so i decided to order the Asus M5A97 LE R2.0 Motherboard. i was wondering if this was any good ? Please respond asap

No. Its the worst of the M5A97s. It does not have a heatsinked VRM. You need a real good CPU cooler to overclcok with it.

I wouldn't overclock at all with such a cheap CPU cooler. In fact I wouldn't even put an 8 core CPU on it to start with.

I've used that motherbaord before, and i managed to get my 8350 to 4.8ghz at nice temperatures ... it's cheap and the worse in that range now, compared to a couple years ago.

That cooler isn't the best ... but could allow you to overclock from 3.5ghz to 4-4.3ghz max seeming as the board is not so good anymore.

A 990FX would be a good board to overclock now.

That was out of your budget it seems so i would go for something like this in your budget:
