  1. You should get a dual boot after bios

You can effectively cvhoose which operating system you want, use each drive to store files as your choice. If the operating system was installed on a different computer/motherboard and you bring it into a new one. You will not be able to use that operating system on it. You can store files on it but best of wiping it or getting rid of the OS on it :)

No.. that's not true. You will only get the dual boot option if you installed a newer O/S on a computer that already has a previous O/S installed on a separate partition or drive.

If you have a computer with a single hard drive on it... and then install a second hard drive (that was from another computer) that also has a version of windows on it.. and then tried to boot it up.. It's possible you could crash your system and corrupt your boot loader. I've seen it happen before (with windows XP). Some times the original O/S will boot up fine... some times your computer will get confused and crash...

If you have a second hard drive you wish to install... AND if it doesn't have any data on it or you want to wipe it clean... I highly recommend you take the safe route... by booting from your Windows DVD (any version will do) and heading to Advance Install Options... Once there, just select that second hard drive and delete the partition that's on it... then Format it... after that you're done... you could exit out of that... restart your computer... and you'll have a second hard drive ready and waiting for you.
