Hey all,

Until a few days ago my graphics card was working just fine. Was playing GTA V and suddenly the monitor went black (audio kept going). I rebooted the system but after that I wasn't able to fully boot the system anymore.

After the Windows 7 (64bit) 'Welcome' screen it just goed (light) blue. No errors on that screen, and I can't do anything. I can boot my PC in safe mode with no problems, got rid of all my graphic card drivers and reinstalled them but that also didn't work. I still get the same 'blue' screen

There were 3 events registered in event viewer at the time I was playing GTA and it went black. But that were 'the last errors'.

Is my graphics card finished?

Solution
I'd start with replacing the PSU. That's a pretty low end off brand unit. Definitely not for use with an aftermarket GPU card. Maybe fully 60% of similar issues we see are due to similar low end units. I'd be scared to even run a low end desktop on one of those. Get a tier 1 or 2 unit as listed at the following link. Any Tier 1 or 2 unit (Even Tier 3 if you absolutely HAD to use one would be a lot better than what you've got) of 500w or more is fine for that card.

The fact that it runs fine on minimal generic drivers in safe mode, but not otherwise, reinforces this probability. A lot of systems with a failing or really, really cheap PSU will boot in...
