As the title says, would this card I'm considering buying be worth for my computer?

I've an Intel Core I7-3770 CPU @ 3.40GHz
Current Graphics Card is a AMD Radeon 7900 Series, quite an old thing but It runs WItcher 3 on Medium settings and around 60-30 FPS most of the time, mostly 50 or so and It works fine enough.

I'm on a Windows 7
My display Is 1680x1050 x 60 hertz (Shite resolution I know)

Not sure what else to put here about my PC..

Any recoomendations?

Cheerio!

Solution
It exactly matches a 7970 reference card mate ,clocks/fillrates/vram /bandwidth
Gtx 970 is what you want - the 960 would be a definite 10-15% downgrade!

I mean 7900 series, that's all It says in System Information and anywhere else I can look.. It's a pretty old one now, I cant find it anywhere to compare It with this Nvidia one lol.

It's actually AMD Radeon HD 7900 though sorry.. oops :p

From what I compared on websites, even If It was that 7950 It sure seems like an upgrade.. and It's quite close to maximum requirements for Witcher 3, as where a Radeon HD 7800 or something was the minimum.. and just games in general.

Post a grab of the graphics card tab.

If its a 7950/7970 you would be throwing money away on a 960 plain & simple.

The 7950 is now named the r9 280
The 7970 is the 280x

3 years ago on their release they were in the highest tier category - they still hold their own today.

The 960 is a decent midrange card but not an upgrade in any sense if the word .

Nope still says AMD Radeon HD 7900 lol, not either of the two you posted, It has a red-ish surface, a fan at the end of It.. can't find It anywhere now, must be just that old..

But here's the pic

If not for the 960, then how'd a MSI GTX 970 GAMING 4G work instead of the 7900? The 970 was my 2nd options, I'm just throwing ideas around It's been 4 years since I got a new card or so and It feels like i need a new one with the games coming out/are out

I did check my W though, Combined It has 600W so that should be enough, as this Nvidia one needs 400W... I'm getting It right, right? o.o not a dummy?

And stop renaming your shiz Radeon lol It just gets confusing

Doesn't look like a 7970... has much different stats then the ones I found at my local hardware websites compared to what i have now..

But either way, so what -would- be an upgrade in the Nvidia part of graphics card, which Nvidia graphics would be an upgrade? Not counting Titan, that's a beast both in power and cash.

o. Im confused by the numbering of Radeon, 7900.... 7970... just get names like Nvidia that are simpler! :(

But thanks man, I'll sure consider the 970 I doubt my PC could handle a 980 and It'd be expensive too lol
