Hey all,

I've recently purchased the Corsair Hydro Series H60 CPU cooler so I'm thinking of overclocking the CPU which is the Intel i7 2700k 3.5Ghz. I'd like to get it up to at least 4Ghz, so my question to you guys out there is what is the highest stable clock I could get up to with this cooler without getting any over-the-top temps?

Also, what software should I use to overclock?

Thanks!

My other specs if needed:
RAM: DDR3 16GB Kingston
GPU: Nvidia GTX 460
PSU: Corsair RM750
Storage: OCZ SSD

Solution
your 2700k will do 4.5ghz no problem with the h60 cooler, assuming you did a proper thermal paste application. honestly i would start at 42x/4.2ghz. its very likely you wont have to touch anything other than the multiplier to get that.
