Whats a good Graphics card upgrade from Intel(R) G33/G31 Express Chipset Family

For as long as I can remember my computer has been not great with games, I mostly play games on my playstation so i dont wanna put a whole lot of money into my pc, but I would like it a hole lot better if I could atleast play minecraft without annoying lagg.

My current graphics card is the Intel(R) G33/G31 Express Chipset Family. What is a Graphics card that isnt very expensive but will make my computer able to run games like minecraft well. And how do I know that this graphics card will fit into my computer (I will probably get it installed at a computer fixing store). Any help is appreciated please answer soon

any card such as the GT 730 which is often a low profile card is pretty much guaranteed to fit, such a card should be noticeable better than those integrated graphics. it is quite possible to find a GT 730 for sub $50 or better.

What CPU do you have? If Minecraft is what this upgrade is primarily for, then a CPU upgrade will have a bigger impact than a graphics upgrade.

Awesome, do you think I could install one by myself. Also do you have any suggestions of where i could find one for around 50 dollars?

It depends on the what system you have currently, but it'll cost between $50-120. If your CPU was good back then, then it will be at least $100 to upgrade with a little performance boost. However, if it was pretty shoddy back then, then an upgrade will bring a decent fps boost.

Newegg should have a 730 around $50 (ebay could have one a lot cheaper check amazon too)and yes, you just pop it in the slot, and get the drivers, the toughest part may be getting it to boot, as sometimes motherboards get picky and don't like to boot. what is your CPU though apsiring techie raises a great point. here is one 730, however as it is not low profile ready it may not fit.
