Hi all, I recently reformatted my Windows 7 pc and restored to factory default settings. Now it won't read my Toshiba 1TB external hard drive any longer. It seems to reflect as device under device manager. It also self installed some driver software, but that seems to only allow "safely remove hardware & eject media". It does not show the driver under My Computer. Any ideas on how to get my pc to read this hard drive again? thanks

Hi there cobasson,

How is the drive recognized by Disk Management? In case it has no letter assigned, you need to assign one.
Another thing you can try is go to Device Manager and uninstall the device. After that you can unplug the drive -> reboot the system -> plug it back in and wait for it to install automatically.

Hope this will help,
