Help to design a budget gaming rig?

I want to build a budget gaming rig for 350 British Pounds max 300 preferable because I got some PC components originally but I don't think I will be able to complete it due to running out of cash unexpectedly. I already have a case and graphics card (Radeon HD 7750 Sapphire Edition). I want to play next gen games on at least medium settings but I don't mind turning down the settings to low. I want to get a quad core CPU so that I can play games like Dragon Age Inquisition or the Witcher 3.

For the cpu for this new rig I am thinking of the AMD FX 4300 unless there is a cheaper CPU with quad cores. I am debating between the FX 4300, the FX 6300, and the i3 4000 series the one with the quad cores. Also will my graphics card handle next gen games or is there a cheapish one to get within the budget? I am thinking of the GTX 750 Ti but I am open to both Radeon and Nvidia. For memory I will get 8gb of ram and a 500 watt PSU for my 7750. Then a normal internal hard drive. 500gb should be plenty methinks. I have less on my laptop.

So to sum it up here are my chosen specs so far:

AMD FX 4300,
8gb DDR3 RAM,
HD 7750
500 watt PSU

Also the main thing I want to ask is if anyone could reccomend me a motherboard that is compatible with AMD CPU's because I do not know as much about that as opposed to Intel CPU's. Is my rig good enough to handle next gen games? The main thing I want is a quad core processor and a good graphics card. The rest is up to you guys within budget though.

Cheers and many thanks in advance! :)

the cheapest motherboard with am3 compatibility, still being good is the asus m5a78l/usb3 motherboard, the gtx 750 ti is much better than the 7750, the 7750 will struggle to run next gen games at all, also one bit of advice dont cheap out on the power supply! if you do then its much more likely to die, which will fry everything else in your pc, so try to get a good quality psu

Any other good but cheap cards for next gen games? Otherwise I will get the 750 Ti because that will run on 300 watts. Also I know about PSU's because I should get an 80+ bronze gold one. All the others are junk. No worries and thanks for the answer! :)

R7 260x can handle wither 3 on low- medium pre-sets
I personally use mix High/medium/low and have avg 35+ FPS in Witcher 3 1080p :)

What resolution .... since you mentioned W3 ....

index.php

The 760 is at 22 fps at 1080p

The 750 Ti is about 65% as fast as the 760 .... that's about 16 fps ... at 1600 x 1200 and 14 fps @ 1080p

I'd try and work my way up to a 280x which should drop again in price wen the 3xx series is released.

Thanks guys! You gave me a lot to think about. I will do more research of my own and see what is best for me. Or I might just wait because I did get really good components. But it means a lot of waiting. So yeah cheers for the info! If I go with a budget rig I will definitely get the amd fx 4300 though.
