- new motherboard,
- new CPU, and
- new copy of WINDOWS.
and...
Is that DDR2 or DDR3 system memory (not sure because some boards had both). If not, will need:
- 8GB of DDR3 (recommended 2x4GB 1866MHz)
So you're basically replacing MOST of your system. At this point you should setup a BUDGET, state your PURPOSE (gaming?) and get some help on the optimal amount to spend on the parts.
An FX-4170 might not be the best choice for gaming. If that's all you had to buy that would be one thing but it's not so getting a better CPU will cost a lot more proportionately to just the FX-4170 but not nearly as much when compared to everything you'll need to buy.
