So I need to access the bios in order to change the boot order,, in order to boot into windows. The problem is, when my computer powers on, it does not give power to my keyboard, so I can't press delete or f11 to access the bios. I've tried two different keyboards in all different ports (mobo and case). Any suggestions or solution?

Nice work Liam521! What you actually did was give your machine nothing to boot to, keeping it in CMOS because it can't go anywhere. In the meantime, your USB keyboard was finally recognized and worked.

The only way around this for me on older machines besides your trick is to plug in a PS2 keyboard and viola. Also setting your bios to look for boot on CD before your HD would probably slow it up enough for your USB keyboard to be detected, but hey then you'd have to wait longer in between all those reboots you do when you just want to power up your operating system :)

Ok, to anyone having this issue, I found a solution. I unplugged every drive I have, except for the drive containing my os. This, for some reason, gave power to my keyboard on boot, allowing access to the bios.
