So i recently bought i a new dual band router (first one ever) it is the Asus Rt-n66U i set it up and everything. So i put 4 mobile phones (2 S5s, Iphone 5, and a Note 4)and a chrome cast on the 2.4 GHz and an Xbox one and LAPTOP on the 5 GHz and I also connected a wired Ps4 and Computer. My problem is my laptop(asus Rog..) on the 5 GHz is unstable i turn it on and it won't get any internet i just get thrown to internet trouble shooting screens. Occasionally i want to get on my laptop and use the internet but i have to restart the entire router to do so. Also the 5 GHz line is very unstable it feels like my connection is on a roller coaster But the 2.4 GHz works like a dream. Any Setup help Would help A lot.

The 5 GHz should be stable as well. See if there is a firmware update for this router that may address this issue. If it does not help, you may have a faulty router.
