In hypothetical case, if an 80+ bronze powersupply goes bang, will it have a change to destroy most of your components like really cheap non bronze psu's?

Solution
In order to get a 80+bronze certification from ECOS, PSUs have to be built with high cuality parts, so its logical to think that a certified PSU will have more protection than any generic one. So, NO it (not destroy most of your components like really cheap non bronze psu's).
The psu's efficiency gives you an idea of internal topology cuality, so the higher the PSU efficiency the higher cuality internal electronic parts.

every electronic have chance to fails..
not depends on brands, price, spec..

but golden rule, goods brands, usually have lower failure rate (lower chance becoming unlucky) than unknown one..
since it have strict/better QC, and don't lie about it's spec or protection it have (this is important)..

it all back to own luck.. but u got much higher chance it will okay..

edit: btw labels can be falsify, including the 80 bronze emblem, try check review of the unit, or check the UL number see if the number indeed for the unit model or it just fake/borrowed number...

for your question, it not correlated
80 bronze is for efficiency not protection

so even same bronze model can have very different set/list of protection it implemented
if it have complete set protection then usually it will not go bang..

Thanks. I am planning on getting a Fractal Design Integra 650w Psu for my 280x.
