I'm really surprised no one explained the differences in chipsets.

Intel has multiple chipsets for different purposes. The differences in chipsets don't really affect performance, but change included features. The B/Q chipsets are designed for businesses or enterprises. They typically have the least number of features but have added security features for IT departments. The H chipsets are designed for home use and contain more features including more USB ports and better sound than the B/Q. The Z chipset is for enthusiasts. Z chipsets are designed for overclocking components (RAM and CPU) and to house multiple graphic cards.

Then there are iterations. The H87 is an older chipset and was replaced by the H97.

I would look at H97 boards.

They're all very similar, with the only difference being the chipset. The B/H85 is an older and slower chipset, the B/H87 is faster but still last generation the B/H97 motherboards are the newest generation chipset. There is very minimal difference in performance between them however if you are going to overclock I suggest finding a Z87/97 motherboard!

Get the Gigabyte H97 D3H. Your processor i5-4460 is a Haswell Refresh, which will work out of the box without any need for BIOS update, if you pair it with a H97 chipset based motherboard.

Any B85/H87 chipset based boards may require BIOS update in order for the motherboard to recognize and support any Haswell Refresh processors.

Also the Gigabyte H97 D3H comes under "Tier 1" H97 chipset based motherboard list, which are known for pretty good quality and durability.
