Hi Guys,

I am planning to buy 'ZOTAC NVIDIA GeForce GTX 750 Ti 2GB DDR5' GPU. Below are the details of my rig, which is already occupied with many things but works properly without any issues. I wanted to know adding this new GPU, does my PSU will be able to handle all of them?

CPU: Intel Core2Quad Q8400 2.66 Ghz
Mobo: Intel DG35EC
RAM: 4GB DDR2
HDD: I have 2 HDD 500 GB each (Seagate, WD Green)
Optical Drive: I have got 2 and use both of them simultaneously that too occasionally copying DVDs
PSU: 450W
OS: Windows 7 Ultimate x64
Monitor: Benq 1920x1080

Please let me know if there is going to be any additional burden. Thanks.

Thanks for your reply. The GPU I am going to purchase does not require additional power so it can draw from motherboard. Which part you feel is old and low quality?

Well, if it doesn't require one, then it's good.

Also, I was speaking of the psu. It's probably old and low quality (I'm guessing this pc is pre-built from some electronics store).

No, it is not pre-built PC. I had assembled it myself. The PSU is not from famous brand but it did worked well without any issues from last 5 years. So I can assume it is safe to install this GPU on my current system? Thanks for all your replies.

From which brand is it?
And yes it is mostly safe to install. But if that psu is from some low tier (tier 4 or 5 listed in here: http://www.tomshardware.co.uk/forum/id-2547993/psu-tier-list.html) it should be changed ASAP.

It is 'Zebion' brand, which is missing from list you provided. I wonder how did my machine survived till now :)

Bingo! I am gonna change PSU. Can you please suggest me a better one within budget? I don't want to spend much now as I will be upgrading next year including cabinet etc. so will add a better PSU such as Corsair. Btw I am from India so please suggest accordingly if you know or else whatever you are comfortable with :) Have a great day. Cheers !
