Honestly if youre ok with PS4 graphics then go for it. That PC wont drastically outperform it. In three years time you'll need to buy a whole new PC most likely anyway...for those three years PS4 will likely outlive the PC you mention.

This pc gaming build is good. You can do better than that though.
Actually you should buy a Intel Haswell I3 + H81/H97 motherboard + r7 260x.
I think you can find it for almost the same price.
And you will be able to upgrade your gaming build next year if you need/can.

PS4 is like a inkjet printer. It is cheap to buy but too $$$ to keep using.

Enter Steam.com and buy at least 5 good games for less than a PS4 game.

Good point about the running costs I forgot about that..
R7 260x isn't futureproof though?

I bought my GTX750Ti one year ago and i plan to use it for at least one year more.
This is enough for playable FPS for any 2015 AAA game. I mean any.
But w/ some compromise of course. plenty compromise maybe :D
But can be done. It is enough for me.

I dont think PS4 can clearly surpass r7 260x/GTX750Ti. So i will see playable FPS for some time yet thanks to PS4/PC convergence.

CPU-wise, even a I3 can keep up right now. And OP could easily do a cpu upgrade next year. He will find plenty used i5-4440 next year for sure. And a used locked low power i5 will works fine w/ OP rig. More than fine.
Nobody can foresee a time when four strong independent cores wont be enough for playable gaming.
I dont think this will be a strong concern for next four years.

Id's go for PS4 too. PCs are better on higher end with a great GPU, but a weak PC will not run games very well in 2 years wheres every game sold with PS4 on it will run perfectly.

LOL, yes Steam has sales but not on good games and not when you want it. If you buy games at once you kind of have to preplan your tastes for the year ahead.

Few years ago that was the case, Steam had good sales on games, that's not really the case any longer. They mostly discount trash (not to call anyone's hard work trash but it is what it is).

This about FX-6300 6 cores is kinda deceptive as far as gaming is concerned.
Actually a stock FX-6300 cannot beat a Haswell i3 in games.
Sadly sometimes i3 will far surpass FX gaming performance. (mmo games)
All games require a strong first core. This is exactly the FX Achilles tendon.
Most games will be fine w/ two cores as long as the first core keep doing most of the work.
i3 HT can usually deal w/ 3-4 threaded games because most of work will be first core responsibility anyway.

FX is still good for enthusiast overclockers w/ some money to spend (good mobo, good cpu cooler).

Pragmatic players will get a i3/i5. And a H97 motherboard for skylake cpu upgrade.

About games:

In my country an AAA 2015 PS4 game will be way more expensive than its Steam PC counterpart.
Besides I buy many excelent 2012/2013 games from Steam for less than $10.
They are perfect for the budget gaming rig OP intend to buy.
Skyrim is just one example. There are many many more.

why i chose fx6300(stock) over i3 4130 because of i3 is hyper threaded so all core (2+2ht) can max. reach upto 50% that will effect the witcher 3 like games but its true that i3 wins in arma3 so its about what type games you like.....

^ if you can afford an extra rs 400 the gammaxx 300 is a much better cooler - don't compromise on the case & case fan - that little xigmatek case is by far the best option on there with decent cooling.

The 6300 is a better choice thsn the i3 IMO aswell

Gigabyte has USB 3 headers so you can have usb3 ports working on case front.Asus doesn't.
The gigabyte is a slightly better quality board full stop - it has vrm heatsinks, the Asus doesn't - should you decide to overclock in the future the gigabyte will do a better job.
The gigabyte absolutely 100% DOES support 1600mhz ram - but it is a 2 minute job to set it manually in bios (I can help you with that no problem )

I own the Asus myself ,I've built for other people with the gigabyte - I prefer the gigabyte.

With a double slot gpu installed the pci-express x 1 slot will only take a half height card in the gigabyte.
The Asus will take a full height as the slot is above the GPU slot.
This is insignificant IMO as people rarely use that slot for anything.
