If you are talking about "Intrusion Detection", you wouldn't really need to have it enabled unless you are in an organization and want to detect whether people in your company are doing illegal activities on their computers and you want to monitor it.

No im talking about this as quote from asus website"electrostatic discharge can happen while plugging or unplugging any usb peripherals causing damage to the computer . Asus ESD guards clamp the ESD voltage and shunt the majority of esd current away for a more reliable computing environment

You should use that setting too if you want. All it really does is power off your computer if your power supply becomes unstable and it shuts the system off safely so files have a lower chance of getting corrupted (like when you pull the plug off out the of while its on, has a chance of corrupting files)

In other words, if your PC is already plugged into a surge protector, there is no use of that setting.

I have an ASUS Sabertooth S Z170, and once when I plugged a gamepad via USB, the system rebooted by itself. So, this is normal from an ASUS M/B?
