I just installed sapphire R9 290x tri-x OC. I use msi z97 gaming 3 motherboard and CM Elite 311 cabinet. Due to small cabinet I wasn't able to insert it in PCI E 3.0. So, I had to insert it in secondary slot. I gave connections and everything is running.

When I try to install drivers, I get an error showing "Application Install:install package failure"

Yes, I disabled integrated graphics in the BIOS and deleted all intel driver files with driver fusion. The dedicated graphic card doesn't show up in display adapters under device manager.
P.S.-I use Kingston 4GB HYPER X Fury RAM, Crosair VS650.

Solution
Dr4gger, lets work to get your going with the new card.

First of all, you should be able to run that card in your secondary PCI-e slot no problem. You will loose some performance if your secondary slot is not PCI-e 16x, but from what I saw on the MSI site...you shouldn't have that problem. The issue I see here is in BIOS. Do you set the secondary PCI-e slot as the primary in BIOS or is the system will looking for the card in PCI-e slot 1? If so, that may an issue if autodetect is not working. Also, have you updated the BIOS in the motherboard?

Are you using the CD the card came with, or getting the drives online? Have you installed the Catalyst Package from AMD as well, or just drivers?

Try using this link from AMD...
