Hi, i'm changing from an AMD graphics card to a Nvidia graphics card and wondered if I need to uninstall my AMD drivers and if so should I do it before putting my new graphics card in my computer?
I think my current graphics card is an Integrated one ("AMD A10-6700 APU with Radeon HD graphics") and wondered if there was anything specific when putting in a new graphics card when you have an integrated one?

Solution
It's integrated, yes. The GPU is on the same die as the CPU. The best way to prepare for a new card install is to use DDU. Run it from Safe Mode and select the option to shut down after it removes all traces of the old driver(s). Then replace the card and reboot. Install the new Nvidia driver and you're good to go.

It's not totally necessary to uninstall the old AMD gfx driver, but it may make things simpler and cleaner with less chance of conflict.

So I should use DDU and then replace my graphics card, reboot and install the new nvidia driver? or could I test to see if the graphics card works fine and then use DDU if it doesn't work as intended?
