Yes as long as it's on the list of supported processors. As an example, you can't install an engineering sample since the BIOS probably won't support it. You should have noticed that a few processors have more than one stepping; they then are listed separately, e.g., the Core i3-3220 stepping N0, P0, E1 and L1. This site provides more complete info: http://www.cpu-upgrade.com/mb-Gigabyte/GA-H61M-USB3V%28rev._1.0%29.html They list the part number of all compatible CPUs.
