First of all, if you select that in what operating system?
Second of all, do you have a hard drive or a solid-state drive?
Personally, I wouldn't trust either, but I'm a bit paranoid. In theory, the machine should work just as well as before.

What I always do is backup my system to an external drive and then try anything I want. I can always recover from the backup.

My ideal solution would be do a backup and try it. If anything gets busted, you always have the backup.
