Now, I know that the 270x is better than the 270, but what I am asking is, is it worth spending the extra money for the 270x and will I see a difference in performance for gaming? I tried to find comparisons on YouTube but not a whole lot showed up. I plan to use the card with an Intel Core i5-4460 and 2x4GB of DDR3-1600 G.Skill memory. If you guys can tell me which one I should get and what brand and series, it will help me out a lot, thank guys!

The 370 and 370x will most likely be priced very close to the 270 and 270x. But if your sure the 270x does not have that much over the 270 as those benchmarks show, so its up to you if its worth the price and a 270 or 270x will never be able to do 4k. And i like sapphire for amd cards because they make the reference cards for amd so they know...
csgo1207,

I will be happy to share my input with you...simple, get the R9 270X. The Mrs. gave me permission to get a new system for my birthday here in June back in December of 2014. So I have been researching all of this for 6 months, just couldn't pass up the Memorial Day weekend deals and got my system 2 weeks early :)

The 270X has 11% higher Pixel and Tixel rates. On top of that the 270X has about 100MHz higher clock speeds. They both have 2GB VRAM, which is low for 4K gaming, but still possible.

If you want to see them rendering a game live, side-by-side...here you go: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RhQ8wnqjsOc

the 270 and the 270x are all I can really get because they are in my budget and basically the strongest cards for the price, the R9 3xx will be over my budget. I will be playing on 1920x1080p, most likely not 4k any time soon. I plan to get the parts for my PC this July so it depends if I have the extra money for the 270x. Some are pretty cheap, but what brand do you guys think I should get?

I have the Vapor-X 270X crossfired, but even when I had one I could play most games at 1080p, had to start turning textures down though due to the small memory amount, very good card, and that cooler keeps the thing really cool compared to some models I have seen.
